VDF7 IDE compliant - Project management s/wby Peter H Brooks
This vdf7 application was written to manage the costing of a building job.
However, whilst developing this simple but effective database I realized a bigger potential. For example, A Function point analysis system. This makes a good basis for further development. Make the file names variables and viola it is several different products. This is what I did with my membership system. This is completely IDE compatible giving examples of using the
data dictionaries at a file level (dbBuilder methods). The only non-standard 'feature' is the use of VPE as the report engine (and VDFQuery Date functions). To install it unzip into a standard workspace (the default is
"Sams") To do this in the IDE, select New Workspace from the file menu. Enter 'Sams' (without the quotes) for the name and description. Click Next, Choose the create or select a workspace area. Point the folder to where you unzipped the program and continu clicking on Next until you're ready. Some of the sample data was sensitive and removed. To create new data set up the parent files- Payments Payment types Group Now enter in your Group type via the Group items.
Now enter in your Journals via the Items journal. Any amounts entered will automatically flow through to the parent record.
